Mechanical sealing action
2.Anti-pollution effect: the pump mechanical seal can prevent external impurities, dust and moisture from entering the pump, keep the pump equipment clean and work efficiency, and extend the service life of the pump.
3.Reduce friction and wear: The pump mechanical seal can reduce the friction and wear between the rotating shaft of the pump and the sealing surface, reduce energy consumption, and improve the operating efficiency of the pump equipment.
4.Withstand pressure and temperature: pump mechanical seals need to work under different pressure and temperature conditions, so it is necessary to choose the appropriate sealing material and structural design to ensure its stable sealing performance.

Selection of mechanical seals
Balanced and non-balanced mechanical seals
The force on the end face of the non-equilibrium mechanical seal varies greatly with the pressure of the medium, so it is only suitable for low-pressure mechanical seals. The non-equilibrium type has simple structure and is widely used when the medium pressure is less than 0.7MPa. For poor lubricity and corrosive liquids can be used for pressure ≤0.3 to 0.5MPa. The pressure of the condensate pump and discharge pump in the three-effect evaporator is not large, and the unbalanced mechanical seal can be selected.
The balanced mechanical seal can reduce the friction and wear on the end face and has a large carrying capacity, but its structure is more complex, and it is generally necessary to process steps on the shaft or sleeve, and the cost is higher. Suitable for high liquid pressure occasions.
Single and double mechanical seal
Single end mechanical seal suitable for general liquid applications.
Double-end mechanical seal is suitable for corrosive, high temperature, liquid gas with solid particles and fibers, poor lubrication performance of the medium, as well as volatile, flammable, easy to dry, toxic, easy to crystallize and valuable media.
Internal and external mechanical seals
Built-in mechanical seals are widely used. Suitable for non-corrosive, high pressure media and does not affect the function of the spring occasions. Tap water and other occasions can generally use built-in mechanical sealing.
External mechanical seal is suitable for highly corrosive media, or for easy crystallization and affect the function of the spring is also suitable for high viscosity media and low pressure occasions.
Single-spring and multi-spring mechanical seals
Single spring mechanical seals are widely used. Suitable for oil, liquefied gas, corrosive liquids and small shaft diameter pumps, but the pump shaft rotation should be the same as the spring rotation. Multi-spring mechanical seals are suitable for pumps with non-corrosive media and large shaft diameters.
